Nothing guarantees economic stability more than Entrepreneurship according to NYSC Adamawa State Coordinator, Mallam Abubakar Mohammed.
He stated this at Permanent Orientation Camp, Damare today during the closing ceremony of Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) in-Camp training for the 2018 Batch ‘C’ (Stream I) Orientation course.
The State Coordinator said that people who embrace entrepreneurship stand a greater chance of being financially independent than their counterparts who are in paid employment.
He therefore congratulated Corps members who took part in the SAED programme, and called on them to enroll for post-camp training at the end of the Orientation course, in order to perfect their skills.
Speaking further, Mallam Mohammed advised the training participants to approach the Central Bank of Nigeria and other financial institutions that are partnering with NYSC in youth empowerment, in order to obtain interest-free loans to grow their businesses.
He commended facilitators drawn from various vocations who tutored the Corps members during the intensive training, and appealed for a more robust synergy in continuous mentoring of young Nigerian graduates that are mobilized for service year in year out.
A cross section of highly elated Corps members who spoke to newsmen at the end of the event applauded NYSC for giving them the platform to acquire entrepreneurial skills at no cost.
The ceremony featured competition in sundry skill areas as well as exhibition of assorted products made by the Corps members.
