As part of the ongoing global effort to curb desert- ification for environmental sustainability, a Corps member, today donated some tree seedlings to Permanent Orientation Camp, Damare, Adamawa state.

Speaking while presenting the seedlings to the camp management, the Corps member said that it was her little contribution to the improvement of the environment, as a personal community development project.

Respondig, NYSC Adamawa State Coordinator, Mallam Abubakar Mohammed lauded the Corps member for the gesture, and gave the assurance that the tender trees will be protected until they grow, to meet the aim of the donor.

He further called on all officials and other Corps members to emulate Miss Uwana, by planting more trees on the camp, and their communities of residence, in order to combat global warming.
